Our Story

House of Elaine has been offering bridal and formal wear alterations to Sandusky, OH, and the surrounding areas since 2016. Owner Stephanie Mayfield decided to open her own shop after gaining experience at a bridal salon and realizing her potential. Immediately putting her knowledge and skill to work, she operated out of her home as a one-woman show before expanding into brick and mortar years later. Stephanie is proud to provide a first class experience for all of her existing and future clients.

As a premier clothing alteration service, House of Elaine strictly handles bridal and formal wear. Our available services include custom gowns, wedding gown alterations and preservation services, custom sewing, and various other formal wear alterations. For bridal services, we accept all brands and bridal shop dresses, including custom work. Our artisan work is here to assist with your entire bridal party needs, from mother of the bride or groom, bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girls, and more. Formal wear alterations include prom, cocktail parties, and other special occasion dresses and pieces for men and women.

We believe that your special events deserve pieces that are perfectly sculpted to fit and flatter. For all of your special occasion alterations needs, turn to our expert seamstress services.
