Founded by Stephanie Mayfield, House of Elaine began as a one-woman studio with a simple vision — to make every bride feel confident, seen, and celebrated. What started as custom alterations and gown design has since evolved into something even more meaningful: helping other bridal shops create that same unforgettable experience for their own clients.

With years of experience in both the creative and business sides of bridal fashion, Stephanie understands what makes a shop truly stand out. Through her Bridal Shop Consulting, she partners with boutiques to refine everything from the client journey and store flow to team training and communication. Her approach is warm, insightful, and rooted in genuine care — helping owners and their teams build spaces where brides don’t just find a dress, but feel completely at home in the moment they say “yes.”

Still true to her beginnings, Stephanie continues to offer bridal and formalwear alterations, serving brides, bridesmaids, and special occasion clients who want their garments to fit flawlessly. Do you only work on bridal gowns?
No! While bridal wear is our specialty, we also provide alterations for formal attire, including prom dresses, evening gowns, and suits.
How far in advance should I schedule my bridal alterations?
